Matthew Rhodes
Matthew Rhodes is a York native that transformed his grief into a passion project. After losing his sister Emily to brain cancer in 2019, Matthew and his mother Joanne wanted to make a difference to those going through illness. They founded EmAble to create adaptive clothing made to accommodate medical treatments for people living with chronic illnesses. With hidden zips and built-in tourniquets, EmAble helps the wearer feel comfortable during medical procedures. Currently at the University of York, Matthew wants to use this degree knowledge to help develop EmAble.
